Tyre Pressure Calculator
Enter the correct details for your Car or Caravan to calculate the correct pressure.
Disclaimer: This calculator provides an estimate based on tyre sidewall ratings. Always confirm with your vehicle's placard and the tyre manufacturer's official load and inflation tables for your specific setup.
Note: You can find the maximum tyre pressure and load information printed on the sidewall of your tyre. Look for values such as 'Max Load' in kilograms (kg) or pounds (lbs) and 'Max Pressure' in PSI (pounds per square inch).
4 PSI Rule Check: To verify your tyre pressures are correctly set, measure your tyre pressures when cold, then drive normally for about 30-60 minutes. Check the pressures again while the tyres are hot. Ideally, the tyre pressure should have increased by approximately 4 PSI:
- If the increase is around 4 PSI, your tyre pressures are correct.
- If the increase is greater than 4 PSI, your cold pressures were too low—add air when tyres are cold next time.
- If the increase is less than 4 PSI, your cold pressures were too high—release some air when tyres are cold next time.
