4 PSI Rule Check: To verify your tyre pressures are correctly set, measure your tyre pressures when cold, then drive normally for about 30-60 minutes. Check the pressures again while the tyres are hot. Ideally, the tyre pressure should have increased by approximately 4 PSI:

If the increase is around 4 PSI, your tyre pressures are correct.
If the increase is greater than 4 PSI, your cold pressures were too low—add air when tyres are cold next time.
If the increase is less than 4 PSI, your cold pressures were too high—release some air when tyres are cold next time.
